Hi, just wanted to say what a good idea, this site is, and I can see huge potential for such a site with so many kiwi's heading to Oz. Going through the process myself of trying to find out as much as I can about moving across the ditch a site like this with all the relevant information could be huge. Get the commercial side of it going with moving companies, airline companies, employment agencies, advertising on such a site.
While there are only a few of you that mainly post on the trade me thread, Im sure there would be thousands of lurkers keeping a close eye on what is happening, because it is all info coming from the horses mouth, from people that are living the moment.

I felt there was a need for such a site .

Have been putting this out there so hopefully we can get more on board .

We are going to be based in Kalgoorlie that is were most of our info is based on ,
are adding from other states as we find it .
Hopefully we will be able to get other who are in these other states to add what they know so we cover as much of OZ as possible .

Ive been hunting around for something like this site for ages now, so good on you. It makes you feel so much better when you know you're not alone in doing something as big as this. Sometimes I just feel so excited about the whole prospect of moving to the Gold Coast, and other days I'm just totally freaking out, and wondering if I'm doing the right thing. I will look forward to this site just getting huge, I think it will be really popular.


I'm in Wellington by the way, so would love to hear from other Wellingtonians who are moving to the Gold Coast soon.

Hi we've bought a property between Casino & Lismore, which we intend to move to soon. Have been waiting for our property here Southern Lake Taupo to sell but may just move anyways. Anybody else in/goingto the Lismore/Casino/Ballina area??

I,m not moving to Oz, wish I was but have done it twice & big regrets about ever coming back to NZ for many reasons. Wishing everyone all the best for a great Australian life, its certainly better than here & hopefully I,ll get to meet you all one day..

Great site, shame we couldn't find it when we were moving 3 years ago!
We are a family of 4 (2 under 3), currently in NZ, but have been back only a few months from Brisbane and are going back to Brisbane again next year. We still own our house in Springwood which we have rented out, and are looking forward to returning.
The reason we came back is we were struggling a bit with homesickness and thought we wanted to be back in NZ. But now we are back we realise no place is perfect, and the reasons we left for a not really reasons, that we just have to accept Oz for all its faults. NZ is so hard to survive in at the moment, we were so much better off in Australia.
Anyway, if anyone wants info on Brisbane South areas through to Northern Gold Coast I am happy to help

Glad to have you onboard, If you wish to add anything to some of the other threads here please feel free to do so. We have a good following and any extra info you may add would Im sure be welcome. IE. transport Co. Storage firms etc.
More and more people are making the move and the more info there is the better the decision making can be.

It seems that most people moving are looking for info on Schools, Rentals and the like.

Keep in touch as there are friendships being formed here all the time.
